Dr. Andrea Bush has over 15 years of experience providing counseling and assessment for children and adolescents. She has expertise in working with youth who are struggling with learning difficulties, behavioral challenges, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, eating disorders, executive functioning, trauma, family conflict, sibling and peer conflict, and family transitions. Dr. Bush utilizes a holistic, strengths-based approach to help her clients develop personal empowerment by learning new coping strategies, improving social skills, communicating with others more effectively, and reaching realistic, achievable goals. With these skills, children and young people can develop more positive relationships with themselves and others while improving their functioning at home and in school. Dr. Bush creates a welcome and safe space for clients to learn about themselves through play, art, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral strategies.
In addition to counseling and assessment services, Dr. Bush offers educational advocacy for clients requiring accommodations at school or for standardized testing.
A native of Florida, Dr. Bush currently resides with her family in Rockville, Maryland.
